Healing Gems 
What are they?
Crystals (gems) are natural mineralogical solids. They are formed in the upper layers of the earth's surface and, although they come in all shapes and sizes each type has an exact atomic structure.
How do they work?
There are many opinions on this, which range from magical to scientific
Science: (a) piezoelectricity effect; that a crystal generates an electrical current (energy) and passes into the energy body that carries our life force.
(b) pyroelectrical effect; that a crystal will general an electrical impulse due to temperature change.
Magic: crystals are used in spells to augment the effects of the spell. Magic can be defined as "that which is beyond our understanding at this time."
